Today I've been getting into Massive. Something I should've done a long time ago cause I knew what kind of awesome sounds you could get out of it. Found some decent tutorials on youtube and got myself started.

I BELIEEEVE WE NEED MORE BASSSS! what?Haven't really made anything useful so far but spend a couple hours experimenting and learning it's potential, and it is massive indeed. Most of my time goes to experimenting anyway, messing around till you get something you like and then use it.

About a week ago I downloaded a pack called Vengeance Essentials by Manuel Schleis which contained around 25000 new sounds. Really useful as I started to get bored by the standard pack from Ableton.

Next thing up I want to learn to use is FM8 which is also known for being to create some monster beats.

First Post!

AAAANNDDD, we're up and running. WOHOO!

Took a while to get the right template in but I finally managed to find a nice one which actually worked. I'll update this blog with info about my music other related stuff.

Let me introduce myself first

I'm 23 and I'm from The Netherlands. About a half year ago I wanted to start making music on my computer. After researching what kind of programs my favourite producers at that moment were using I settled for Ableton Live. If people like Skrillex could do it, so could I right?

Not really, since making music on my pc was harder then I originally thought. But I was motivated and as I started learning the program I found alot of help on Youtube tutorials. Now a couple months later, and many, many hours of editing, polishing and perfecting I managed to create a few decent tracks.

I've not yet decided what kind of genre I prefer, but most of my tracks so far are dubstep, since my attempts at drum&bass turned out to be either better sounding with a dubstep beat or turned into breakbeat. A couple electro/house sounding tracks also worked, as well as some more experimental stuff. I do feel more attracted to the sound of dubstep and I think that is what my strenght lies at the moment.

Right now I'm working on a minimalistic, Skream inspired dubstep track which should be up and listenable this week or the next.
